Fluorinated foam concentrate
In order to make water suitable for extinguishing flammable liquids (Class B fires), a fixed percentage of foam concentrate is added. The foam formed by mixing in air can be used as an extinguishing agent. In order to make water more effective in extinguishing combustible solid materials (Class A fires), a low percentage of foam concentrate is added to increase its penetration power.We distinguish 2 different types of fluorinated foam concentrate, namely;
- AFFF, film-forming concentrate for extinguishing flammable liquids which do not mix with water (hydrocarbons).
- AFFF/ARC, film-forming concentrate for extinguishing flammable liquids which do mix with water (polar solvents).
The choice of which foam concentrate to use depends on a number of factors:
Fire class – Environmental requirements – Quality standards – Approval criteria – Extinguishing method – Foam expansion ratio – Viscosity.
InnoVfoam supplies foam concentrates for every application with which foam can be used as an extinguishing agent. We are agent for Perimeter Solutions, who is manufacturer of the brands Solberg and Auxquimia. InnoVfoam also markets other foam concentrates. We only supply fluorinated extinguishing concentrates that comply with the latest C6 technology.
