Damen, Tugboat ‘Zeeschelde’

On Tuesday 13 November 2012 InnoVfoam BV technicians were present to perform the ultimate commissioning test of the FiFi system on Tugboat “Zeeschelde” at open sea for the coast of Oostende (Belgium).

At full sea the two fire monitors with a capacity of 20.000 LPM each were tested, whereby also the unique containerized foam proportioning system was interred. Within several minutes an enormous sea surface was covered in (practice) foam, like it concerned the fighting of a gasoline fire. Rarely a commissioning went as smoothly as this one.  At the end of the test, the tugboat “Zeeschelde” was transferred to the owner in Antwerp.
